The Hellenic Pact for Sustainably Industry (P4SI-EL) is an initiative of CSR HELLAS towards a more sustainable business model, based on the framework of the European Pact for Sustainability by CSR Europe supported by the European Commission. In the context of SDG 17 (Collaboration for the Goals), the P4SI-EL can be applied to all Greek companies, regardless of size and sector of activity and will be implemented through three distinct axes: Sectoral Business Leaders, Business Associations and SMEs. P4SI-EL offers the opportunity to leading businesses to become the sectoral paradigm of adapting their strategy and operations to the new European sustainability financing and reporting requirements (CSRD, CSDDD, SCG, SFDR, EU Taxonomy, Sustainable Finance). Based on best practices of the leading companies’ sectoral business associations will serve as facilitators in transferring these best practices to their members aiming to help them adapt to the new business environment. At a third level, SMEs-members of the supply chain of bigger companies, will have the opportunity to adapt to the new European environment and remain competitive. Furthermore, the implementation of the P4SI-EL will provide data on the sustainability level and maturity through wider accepted sustainability assessment tools that will allow the development of the Greek Sectoral Sustainability Barometer, as a local transfer of CSR Europe’s European Sectoral Sustainability Barometer. In its first implementation for the years 2023-2025 the P4SI-EL will focus on the following mega sectors: Construction, Manufacturing and Tourism, due to their important contribution to the Greek GDP.
